Abstract—On the track of achieving the best fuel cell
technology for the future, electrochemical impedance
spectroscopy (EIS) is known to be the best tool so far in the field
of diagnostic and understanding the behaviour of fuel cell. EIS
is defined by the concept of measuring complex impedance and
has a proper procedure to execute the diagnosis; it is a very
strong tool to be carried out for PEM fuel cell because it give a
lot of information about it. EIS measurement is developed and
been carried out using a lot of software and programs. The
modelling of EIS after having the complex measurement results
from the diagnosis is a customary thing to do. This paper
presents a novel method of EIS modelling using
Matlab/Simulink. The concept of how EIS modelling works
inside Matlab/Simulink and how the model is validated by
experiments done before is explained inside the paper.
