Abstract—Based on duration curve method, a framework to include wind-thermal bundled power transmission pattern in multi-region generation expansion planning model is proposed in this paper. This framework proposes modelling for receiving end region, sending end region and transmission side, handling two patterns of wind-thermal bundled power transmission, fixed ancillary thermal generators and non-fixed ancillary thermal generators.
Index Terms—Wind-thermal bundled power transmission, multi-region generation expansion planning, duration curve.
